About Us

Co-founders Yuko Sherwood and Robert Vega welcome you to YUVÉ — a brand devoted to objects of well-being, crafted with intention and designed to elevate the everyday.

After more than two decades shaping and collaborating with leading names in the fashion industry, we felt called to embark on a new path together. Our journey began with a search for objects that inspire a more conscious, centered, and joyful way of living. As the world grows increasingly aware of personal wellness and environmental responsibility, we envisioned a brand that honored both — a brand rooted in authenticity, nature, and mindful design.

Our products begin with what is pure: organic materials drawn directly from nature’s abundance. We sought pieces that are visually iconic, spiritually grounding, and emotionally resonant. Our first creation, the candle, became the foundation of YUVÉ. Simple in form, yet profoundly symbolic, candles embody everything we believe in: illumination in moments of darkness, serenity in meditation, and an uplifting sensory experience.

But our candles needed to be more than beautiful. They needed to embody the elements — earth, wind, fire, and water — through truly natural components. After exploring countless materials, we crafted a blend of beeswax, coconut oil, essential-oil fragrances, and wicks made from wood, cotton, and hemp. Every choice intentional. Every element pure.

Still, one question remained: What becomes of a candle once it burns out? Traditional vessels are discarded or recycled — but we wanted something enduring. This vision evolved into CANDLES AS ART.

Our vessels are not containers; they are heirlooms — sculptural pieces inspired by the landscapes of the American Southwest, Mexico, and Asia. Each one is handcrafted, each one unique, no two ever the same. Created from natural materials and shaped through an artist’s eye, these pieces are meant to live on long after the flame has faded. Objects to keep, to display, to pass down.

CANDLES AS ART — crafted from the earth, shaped by hand, and destined to become part of your story for generations.
